(English Abstract)
This paper describes a multi-functional cryptography processor SAGE that integrates three crypto-cores including SHA-256, ARIA-AES GCM, and ECC into a single chip. It can be used to implement various security functions such as message digest for authentication and integrity check, confidentiality and authenticated encryption based on ARIA or AES block cipher, and public-key crypto-functions. The SAGE processor having 125 kgates and 4.6 kbits RAM was fabricated with 180 nm CMOS process, and it was tested with 25 MHz operating clock, resulting that 45 out of 48 chips were working correctly with the yield of 93.8%.
